Footpath from Mevagissey to Heligan Gardens

Buses: (Mon-Sat only) Depart from the Ship Inn (Village centre)

 at 50 mins past each hour.  Return from the gardens at Hr+02

(also a Western Greyhound service at 1345 & 1545).

 

 

Footpath to Heligan Gardens runs from just beyond the            children’s play area (on road out towards St Austell) and             is approximately 1½ miles from where it leaves the road.

 

 

 

The path is uphill through woods and

farmland and you should allow 50 minutes

there & 40 back (downhill!).  The path can

be muddy in places after heavy rain.

On foot: Follow road out of village towards  St Austell.  Branch left at sports centre (cycle path runs parallel to the road initially).  Leave cycle track* via wooden gate on left, 50 yards after passing an ivy covered ruin on your right. Follow path to Heligan Mill.  Bear left over a small ford and follow track uphill to Heligan entrance (on right through car park).    * If wet, continue on cycle track to Heligan (slightly longer)
